What is Finned Tube?
Finned tube is a type of heat exchange components. It is a type of heat exchange tube that aims to improve heat transfer efficiency by adding fins to the surface of the heat exchange tube to increase its outer surface area (or inner surface area).

Shape and Materials:Finned tubes come in various shapes such as round, oval, and flat tubes. The fins can be made from aluminum, copper, or carbon steel, depending on the application requirements.

Fin Attachment Methods:Some finned tubes have fins embedded into grooves on the tube surface (G-type finned tubes), which provide strong mechanical resistance and are suitable for high-temperature applications up to around 400°C. Others have fins formed integrally from the tube material (e.g., T-finned tubes) or attached by brazing or soldering.

Fin Profiles:The fin profile (height, thickness, pitch) affects thermal performance and pressure drop. Larger and tighter fins improve heat transfer but may increase pressure drop, requiring a balance for optimal performance
Product By Processing Technology
Extruded finned tube is a finned tube made by extrusion process. The design of this finned tube is unique, with fins tightly attached to the tube wall, forming an efficient heat dissipation surface.
HF welding of spiral finned tubes is achieved by using the skin effect of high-frequency current to heat the steel strip and the outer surface of the steel tube while winding it around the steel strip.
Embedded Finned Tube also called G finned tube ,which pre-process groove onto the surface of base tube,then aluminium strip will be winded on tube.
Aluminum or copper fins are folded into an L shape and continuously spiral wound around the outer surface of the base tube under tension.Overlapped footed “LL” Type is also available.
The outer surface of the base tube needs to undergo a rolling process; After the fins are wrapped, the root of the fins attached to the tube will also be rolled to enhance the bonding between the tube and the fins
Low finned tubes in copper and copper alloys as well as carbon steel, stainless steel and titanium,take as enhanced condenser tubes or evaporators tubes
